New 91 EF Hatch owner/build!
I'm new to Honda's and just picked up a white 91 EF Hatch with a b20v. The body has 149xxx miles on it and has been converted to right hand drive. The motor was built by Erick's Racing and is putting down around 238hp. As of right now im gonna be working on cleaning the car up, getting all new weatherstripping, re-cover the headliner, and get new carpet along with some other little things. Here's how the car sits as of right now.

I paid 5,000 for the car, and a better battery tie down is on my list of things to buy. why would the battery need an exterior air vent tho?

All batteries do it; even the AGM cells.
Overcharging, high temperatures, and heavy power loads contribute to high level gassing.
Not only is it toxic, but in high concentrations the gas can ignite/explode.
Optima, and probably other manufacturers, offers a line that have a port on them so you can just hook a tube up and run the tube through a hole to exterior.
