Default NEED HELP: INFO NEEDED ON A B18B LS MOTOR SWAP INTO CRX. Anyone done this...& have info or a link.

OK, ive been searching on the net and on here in the FAQ section and through sopme pages to see if anyone has posted about an LS motor swap in a crx.

My crx--> http://www.cardomain.com/id/sirx90

IM trying to do this swap cuz the motors arent too expensive and i just need something with more pep than the stock one but nothing too special thats gonna get me in trouble or into alot of money. Seeing how i have an integra that i already sink my money into. http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/689461

The info i need is basically the info found in a writeup ...such as which linkages work what ecu is best to use, do i need a mount kit from placeracing or another mount manufacturer. Basically anything that will aid in the process id appreciate very much.

I need this car to run cuz my teg' has some small problems that are prohibiting me from being able to get it past inspection and or drivable. I need to be able to get to work so i can afford to pay for all my bills and school.

Thanks in advance guys & girls

All the help you need is already out there for you. The search button (upper right hand corner) is going to become your bestfriend.

hours later and i still haven't found out a 1/4 of what i need.

If someone knows what i'd need i don't understand why they would rather torcher me and tell me to search... when i need a parts list.

The forum is to come talk, ask questions & get answers if available. Just cuz im new shouldnt mean i get shunned to the search pages for anything i need.

I'm not getting angry just wondering why... thanks for any responses i get in adavance... i just know nothing about crx's and im trying to learn, aside from my teg.

the reason you have been shunned to the search button is because there has been countless threads on this. Search the hybrid forum.

you will need:
engine <-- easiest to stay obd0
tranny <-- easiest if a cable tranny is used\
Mount kit
Linkages modded or buy swap links
non-vtec swap needs no wiring, vtec swaps need 4 wires
90-93 integra axles and int. shaft
ECU to accomadate engine <-- easiest if everything stays obd0
depending on current exh system you may need to lengthen or shorten the ct/test pipe
if you goto a vtec b18 you will need to cut some of your hood out, or you will need to get a hood wiht more cleareance b/c if will rub

good advice here. The search function is not easy to grasp at first as it can be frustrating. I would go to the General Debate/Disscusion forum and Drew has a post sticky'd giving a great tutorial on how to get started with searching.

Yeah 90-91 is, but 92-93 is obd1..And the reason people want the 92-93 b18a,or 94+ b18b is because they make more power then the 90-91 b18a.
