Re: MT CRX Build and Swap
I dropped by my builder today. The cage isnt quite finished, and the dash isnt started. I am a bit disappointed, but I am hoping it will all be done by the time I go back next monday. On the bright side it looks great!

Re: MT CRX Build and Swap
Everything looks great man and I love the progression, one point of concern is that you can't mount your harnesses to that bar, reason being it's waaay to low. A bar should be set so the harness would have no more than a 10* angle from the height of your shoulders. If you had an accident the forward momentum would pull downwards and break your back, and the seat as well. A single horizontal hoop shouldn't cost that much. Keep up the good work.

Re: MT CRX Build and Swap
haha. Thanks! I am glad you enjoyed yourself. Stay tuned, it isnt done yet!
Yeah, I have come a long way for sure!!!!!!! Hmmmm. I wondered about that to be honest. Part of the problem is my ebay seats are retarded, and way to high. I am going to pull them, grind off the braces they mount to, weld in some steel plate, and then drop the sliders to the floor and bolt them in that way. Another thing is the height of the seat itself. My shoulders are pretty darn close to within 4 inches which is the IHRA legal, nothing about angle of the belts that I have seen yet.
Yeah, once again I need to look at it.

Re: MT CRX Build and Swap
***UPDATE*** 4/14/2012
I just pulled the plug and bought the following stuff...
New Battery - Last one died and I dont have Pepboys here to get a free one. Thus I went to NAPA for my new 65 month warranty battery lol...
Koni Sport Shock/Struts - Neuspeed as the best price I found. Crazy right?!?!
Ingall's Camber Adjustment Pieces Front and Rear - Also from Neuspeed.
Function 7 Rear LCAs - JHPUSA was the most reputable place I saw.
Ground Control System - Direct from them! I cant wait to try it!
Aeromotive 13129 EFI Bypass Fuel Pressure Regulator - Speed Factory Racing oh yeah!
Golden Eagle MFG Fuel Rail Black - Speed Factory Racing is awesome.
Fittings to install fuel stuff - Speed Factory Racing...
So here is the reason for all of this...I was driving around yesterday and the car kept dying. No matter how much gas I gave it! It was also at very random times. When it was running it ran like a bat out of hell, very well! But to get it started again I had to prime the fuel pump over and over again until I heard a gurgle sound, then I would crank it and it would start like normal and easily.
The other issue I had yesterday was getting the car to idle correctly. It wanted to idle extremely high! So I figured out that by unplugging the IACV I think is what it was. I could get the car to idle at about 1000 RPM. Plugging the sensor in caused the car to idle at 3k. WTF. So i am currently driving the car with it unplugged. Suggestions?
Thanks man!
Hahah I know right?! I wasnt going to waste them! They came out of my mustang which didnt come with floormats at all.... Weird huh? That is what base model v8 gives you lol...

Re: MT CRX Build and Swap
Car keeps getting better and better. I'm now wanting to do something similar with my dash. Thieves would be a lot less likely to bust my windows to steal the gauges I had planned on installing.
