Mini me is done. Car started, but my tach isnt working now. Someone help...
Alright, well I finished my mini me setup tonight. I got a few bugs still and have to adjust the timing tomorrow. Whats going on with my tach though? It isnt working at all now. The speedo still works though. I'm thinking maybe its the MSD RPM Activated Switch? Maybe the ground isnt good enough or the wire isnt attached good enough to the distributor? Any have an idea of what it can be?

The STOCK tach wire is a blue wire coming off the distributor. The fact that your speedo works really has nothing to do with the tach at all so don't let it confuse you. If you are getting your tach signal from something else then that's where you need to do your troubleshooting.

Well I have the MSD RPM Activated Switch hooked up to the blue wire on the distributor. Think that is possibly interferring with the tach?

I checked the blue wire. Nothing seems wrong. Maybe it isnt working due to the position of the dizzy with the mini me setup?

Your MSD switch is working and VTEC is working right? That would only mean that your blue wire is in good condition since you are tapping into it. I don't think it would iterfere with the tach, but you can check this easily - just disconnect the rpm activated switch from the blue wire and see what happens. If the tach starts wroking again then you know the problem. I don't think that's it though. It think you have a wire break someplace. The distributors rotation shouldn't make any difference at all. As long as the distributor rotates then a signal will be sent over the blue wire.

I think the plug was plugged in the wrong way. I unplugged it, turned it, and now it works. But I also disconnected the wire from the MSD box. I cant really feel if my vtec is working or not. I'm so use to driving DOHC VTEC's. I cant even notice it in a SOHC VTEC.
