they look clean now but after a few weeks with all the driving i do theyll have plenty
of scratches im sure
it dont even matter either know why?
its the work car ^_-

hay check out that rust repair

and heres the damage from the new york trip
my bent wheel

and my blown strut

and it got worse after i took the tire off and found that it was torn on the bead

the tire was trash afterwards even thou i still had about 70 percent life left
but theres no way of knowing that when your removing a tire
if id know i would of left it on for 3 more years haha
i was in a rush so i got a used tire to replace it
but my new used tire is so used it already needs replacing

moving on
before mounting the tires on the new wheels i did a test fit

the fitment was perfect
*** big as we can go without mods

the stock 15 stellies were 6inch wide with a -44 offset
and the dr44,s are 7 inch wide with a -20 offset

these wheels are gonna need some new lugs if i want to mount them

and then i had to work for the rest of the weekend
but i did finish

more updates soon

i think thats the nicest thing anyone on honda tech has ever said to me haha

im a die hard car guy thats all really
my idea of a good weekend is being in the garage working on one of my cars

for example yesterday i went out

and got this radiator installed on my 05 element

and i finely got one that wasnt cracked
so third times the charm

im glad thats fixed now i can give the element to my little brother so he can take him self to work in the morning
i did a few more things to the element like a trans flush and rear wheel alignment
and some new hoses for the trans fluid
i gotta take care of that thing because some day that awd k24 is going to find its way into the sedan ^_-

also my new upper ball joints showed up

i only need the ball joints so if anyone wants the control arms there free to take
you guessed it . you just pay shipping
today is the 21 st so if 5 days go by and no one wants them then off to the trash they go

more updates soon

today was unexpected
i had a free day today so i got to work on my car
by fixing a problem ive been having with my fog lights

first of all i love them but they keep getting out of adjustment
this is because when i made the cut outs for them it was a really tight fit
there hitting the bumper support
so today it was trimming time

got her trimmed and fitting way better

now the light housing isnt touching anything its awsome
but i havent pointed them yet so will see if they need more trimming but im confident ^_^

after i got that all put back together i headed home and still had some day light
so i got around to installing one of my snow tires
on my one good steel wheel

the days are getting warmer so some paint job updates are coming soon

untill then ^_-

this weekends update

i started moving out of my winter garage

while i was at home unloading my first trip full of stuff my friend Javi called and said if i wanted to go to the junkyard today
i said hell yea i need some seat belts for the sedan
and when i got there look what i found ^_^

snagged the headlight i need to finish my lighting upgrade
then we walked around and i forgot the reason i went to the junk in the first place the seat belts

so that night in Javis garage i did the install

enjoy

so now my lighting upgrade is officially finished !!

next thing on the to do list is the front fenders and bumper ^_^

and the drive home looked a little something like this

more than enough time has past
so its time

keep what i need

and toss the rest

my hood has been getting harder and harder to open lately
and heres why

my cable is stretched
but its not broken
so are we just going to order a new one or make it work with the old one?

yea we are going to make it work
and do a real repair not a replacment

so enjoy ^_-

cut to the same size hole

then you delete the old hole
but leave room to weld

or you can stick it with glue
or a peace of bubble gum if youd like
its up to you

the hole is now about 1mm and a half further back

a little de rusting and paint

and the finished product

another Marcos only part haha

the hood now opens just fine

this was also my first update back at home
it feels great

more updates soon

this weekend i got a few things done
so come with me on this update

went down to the junk yard looking for my seatbelts again
and on the way i saw a crx ^_^
i never see any efs driving so this was picture worthy

but anyway i made it down to the junk yard and found a 95 civic two door and said these will work
i had to remove the rear seats and panel to get to the belts

i also got some rear heavy duty floor mats

these are like $15 new and only $2 at the junk
so i was just like score!! and now i have all 4 matching

i drove out to the omaha junkyard thats a 56 mile drive
and when ever im in omaha i always go to this gas station where they have the horchata flavored icee
and since im not in town that often i always go for the biggest cup they got

44oz is no problem for my cup holder ^_-

and then something happend that i did not expect
my friend javi found a good deal on some wheels for our 74 toyota celica supra project car were building on the side
and the wheels were in iowa
about 200 more miles out
so what did we do

took a road trip to the land of burning feilds and the wind turbines

made our purchase
and also got to talking with the owner and ended up selling him my home made ef ac bracket for b series for $50 ^_^

found not a taco truck
but a TACO BUS!! in des moines iowa
the food was great

made the journey home with no problems

the sedan as always works great

and ended the weekend by installing the new wheels

more updates soon

sold old bracket for 50 add 40 of my own and we got this new one used

has 4 bolts all different size and spacers also

then added the pulley and finished the install

is the sedan going to have nice cold air running threw those vents this summer?
stay tuned for more updates

and as promised the bracket installed

moving on
im excited to get this ac system installed

had to remove the ac fan to make some room

whipped out the compressor and the lines from under the bed
they have been sitting in there since we started the engine swap back in the day

theres one bolt that just barely bolted in place on the compressor
i need a longer one
so ima get a crv one next junkyard run but for now its good enough
ima call this stage 1 on the ac repair /reinstall project

i made a small list of things that i need like bolts to connect the lines to the compressor
ima get a new ac condenser and receiver drier
and all new o rings
since half are missing
or maybe there under my bed haha

more updates soon

Good stuff Marcos. Curious what your dash temps look like when you are done. No AC is the Midwest can be a bummer.

yea it can be
but im also the kind of guy that likes to spend his days outside
so im used to the heat and the cold ^_-
but yes there are those days haha
days where its about 104 -109 ish with the humidity at 90 percent
you can see a nice mist in the air
its rainforest like
but thats only a few days in the year that we get the cool mist

my cars temp has never had any problems
even on those real hot days
but i havent had working ac yet
so that will change things
but im confedent ^_-

now on to todays update

im trying to get my broken rear strut problem fixed
and during my parts gathering i ran into a problem

the strut dust boots/lids
they cost waaay!!! to much at autozone there 50 bucks
and on ebay there 35
and so heres another marco only part thats going to cost 5

starting by going on a junkyard run

that eg hatch one i got is made of plastic

and damn i cought myself in the act of mis ordering my updates
here you can see my ac compressor bolts on the desk

and yes it would work just fine
im going to use the plastic one as a template

so what im going to do is make rubber ones useing duck tape ^_-

enjoy

oh yea double layer so that it will last forever

and then there was 4

and yea theres a lot of dust on my desk now that im seeing these pictures
how embarrassing ^_-

more updates soon

Mctrader hehe your my biggest fan you know that
and just for that im going to give you a present when the time comes not now... but in a few months ^_-

when i logged in today to honda tech i saw the 88 prelude post from thailand
and this last weekend i found out that my friend javi is parting out his prelude after 9 years of owning it
it was a 2.4 litter prelude also but with a bored out h22
but his was complete it wasnt missing 75 percent of everything
anyway when i got to javis house on sunday to work on a customers car he told me if i wanted anything off it
and after looking and looking i took a few things

things like this

and i went in with a grinder and i cut out the rear seat belt bolt holes
for when i do my front seat belts

on my car im going to cut out a hole and weld these in so my belts can mount up

my original plan was to make these myself but since javi offered hehe i took the chance to save some time
that update will come when ever i get around to the bench seat again

more updates soon

i think its cute
and its a aluminum wheel

along with the spare wheel i also got the window visors
but the connector didn't fit it was too big

so i swapped out the connector for my ef one

Marcos its mctrader07 . im over here in Boston. I know your in nebraska . i thought to myself ; " do you ever find people online that are local and race them for twenty dollars or forty dollars here and there with your beautiful car that you work on? Not about the money of course . Just about the thrill of the race. Ive been working alot now to save up to buy a car cause my last honda i had the engine just blew on me . it had 222,000 miles on it . it wasnt anything i was working on or trying to race with it was just a daily driver to and from work. Definitly think about this in my future and getting my ride to work on and fot fun seeing whos around town to race down side streets at night. ☺

id like to consider myself retired from racing now
but i am Part of a race team called team nightrider
we were mountian racers
rally cross racers back in 2004/2012
back in the day we went down to a few states only to break the records the locals had
in America its really hard to find racers that dont race in straight lines
ones with talent
but we did and we raced them
even today our teams street racing records haha
are still holding in colorado, maryland, iowa, kansas, and of course nebraska no ones even come close yet
there was this kid in colorado with a pretty quick subaru sti that was making good progress on beating a team mates record down the mountian but he stopped one day and we never herd from him again this was back in 2011

nowadays our teams mainly just gotten old we dont race or cruise anymore , the race cars were parted out
we dont go to car shows
we just wanted to become the best and once we did we checked it off our to do list

i dont want to post up our teams videos on here because it would give the wrong message
but if youd like ill sent you some on a pm ^_-

so ive got two for your guys to watch
the first was when the team was just getting started back in 2004
this was when i had my green sedan ^_-

and the second was about 3 years later
when we were racing for the records among other things ^_-
in this video im the one with the black integra
and also the one with the white gtr

as you can see i never finished any of the two videos
haha they both kinda just cut out
and they were both shot off cell phones to make it worse

but thats my team were 6 members for life
