JUST SWAPED OBD1 LS INTO 90 CIVIC CKP PROBLEM
I'm having a problem, just installed a obd1 ls into a ef civic and i'm getting a ckp code and the engine runs like crap, runs very rich and can bearly idle, then when I give it gas it dies and falls on it's face. when I hook up the hondata s300 it gives me a ckp and my tps goes backwards, instead of going up (10-20-100 % etc) it goes the other way (105-90-50-10% etc) wth is wrong with this ****? im using the jumper harness convertion obd0 to obd1 ecu off ebay, and also converted my obd1 dizzy onto the obd0 factory dizzy harness.
the obd0 dizzy has 5 main wires
white
white with line
orange
orange with line
and white
the obd1 has the same thing expect it has 7 wires
white
white with line
orange
orange with line
white
blue/yellow
blue/ gree
FROM WHAT I CAN SEE IT LOOKS LIKE THE BLUE/YELLOW AND BLUE/GREEN WIRES GOES RIGHT INTO THE SOLID WHITE AND SOLID ORANGE CYP ON THE WIRING HARNESS?? IS THAT RIGHT? IF SO THEN WHY THE HELL IS THERE THOSE WIRES ANYWAYS??
NOOOOWWWWW if im right the two that the dizzy needs is both the blue wires. I got them going into the obd1 pins b15 and b16. that is where the ckp wires goes into.
SOOOO AGIAN ALL IM ASKING IS WHY AM I STILL HAVING THIS PROBLEM AND WHY IS THIS CAR RUNNING SOOO RICH AND TPS BACKWARDS EVEN WITH HONDATA S300 PLUGED UP?
SO PELASE GIVE ME ANY INFO i NEED TO GET THIS PROJECT GOING. THANKS ALOT AND SORRRY FOR THE LONG THREAD.

make sure you dont have the map sensor and tps sensor plugs switched around.. they are identical plugs and inches away from eachother just something to check

Swap the two outer wires on the tps sensor. This should fix your "opposite" readings.
For the distributor wiring issue, trace the wires back to the ecu.
B11-CYP P CYP -P Orange, CYP sensor input, N/A
B12-CYP M CYP -M White, CYP sensor signal, N/A
B13-TDC P TDC -P Org/Blue, TDC sensor input, N/A
B14-TDC M TDC -M Wht/Blue, TDC sensor signal, N/A
B15-CKP P CKP -P Blu/Green, CKP Sensor input, N/A
B16-CKP M CKP -M Blu/yel, CKP Sensor signal, N/A
The colors may vary, but thats why you need to trace them to the ecu to verify the source. Once you have correctly determined the harness side of the plug, you can match them to the corresponding wiring on the distributor side of the plug.

Re: JUST SWAPED OBD1 LS INTO 90 CIVIC CKP PROBLEM (90sedan)
does anyone of those wires goes togeter inside the dizzy or togeter anywhere else? because i'm showing connection on the ohm meter on four wires on the dizzy plug (male side)??? this will run like crap with obd0 and obd1 anything and with or without the jumper plug?

Alright, you need to trace the wires from the engine harness side of the distributor plug back to the ecu to establish which wires go to which sensor. Once you have that figured out, then hook them up to the corresponding sensor in the distributor.
Here's what the distributor sensor wiring should be.
TDC : white/blue
orange/blue
CKP : blue/yellow
blue/green
CYL : white
orange
The last wire in the 7p plug will be a ground source from the ecu.
Now you should be able to correctly hook up your distributor wiring, keep in mind that colors might not all be 100% accurate, so its necessary to check at the ecu which is what.

which on is ckpp and ckpm? they are calling for both blue/yellow on the ecu pin readouts, and your stating blue/yellow and blue/green, btw i've cut the harness from the ecu and wired it directly to the dizzy and now my car wont start..lolzzzz just my luck, wth can this cause, also can you tell me where that extra wire goes to on the ecu instead of telling me to a ecu ground (just incase it mattered). thanks

Re: (onefastek9)
PROBLEM SLOVED, JUST DIRECT WIRE FROM DIZZY TO MAIL ECU WIRES, BUTTTTTT HAD TO PUT YELLOW (EXTRA WIRE) TO A21 PIN ON OBD1 ECU PINOUT, SLOVED EVERYTHING.
