ok, so i got a new alternator, took off the intake manifold to intsall, reinstalled alternator, got a new battery as well..

takes a while to crank up, starts, runs fine then it goes up and down, and now im getting a beep beep on the ecu side...

i lossed the altnator belt, it was pretty tight, after i did that it started up easyer, but after about 10 seconds it went back to rpms going up and down.. any suggestions>

Your alternator belt may be too tight, that has been a problem for me once.

egr valve could be gunked up. I took mine apart and cleaned it. Seems to have corrected my prob w/ bouncing idle.
