Identify these sensors please
i have a crx with a b16 from a 99si running a 0bd2 p73 ecu, using a obd0 to obd2 jumper harness. Car runs perfect and throws NO codes, question is why are these sensors unplugged and its not throwing codes. Also can you give me the names of each one.

1 appears to be either the vtec solenoid or the coolant temp sensor, 2 looks like the reverse light switch, 3 is the purge solenoid

like for the reverse lights? i can see the other ends of the wires in the harness... would there be a reason why there cut? should i go see if my reverse lights work?

This link should help. The 2 wires off your transmission are your back-up switch wires.

1 is definetly the oil pressure switch, ive never heard of jdm motors not having them, doesnt really make sence since the switch is there for the saftey of the motor.
2 is the reverse sensor wires like everyone else said. if its not hooked up with wont have reverse lights.
3 i have no idea, never seen it.

I believe 3 is called the Evap purge solenoid... I know for sure it has a hose that goes to the charcoal canister... And I didnt use it on either of my SOHC VTEC swaps (one in a CRX the other in a 95 Civic LX, both were D15B VTEC which dont have that sensor)...

Like said above, jdm bseries DONOT have a vtec pressure switch. Your using a jdm ecu so its not looking for that sensor.

My obd0 jdm b16 definetly had one, and every wiring right up said you had to wire it it, along with 2nd o2, knock, and vtec solenoid. And I was using a pr3 ecu.

I can say for sure, that SOME JDM engines come with them, and some do not... And too my knowledge there is no specific year/series, ect to determine if they do or dont...
I have owned 2 JDM D15B VTEC engines, one for my car, which did not come with the VTEC Pressure switch... It came with just a bolt in its place (so that one can be added)... Since I was running a P28 with it, I had to add one... And the other D15B was for my g/fs car, which came with the VTEC pressure switch... So this tells me that the P08 ECU (that runs the D15B in Japan) probably wont throw a code without it, but it will probably also know how to use it (should you have one)... So im sure the same goes for other JDM ECUs... I also can say for sure that the P28 ECU (USDM Civic Si/EX) will throw a code if the VTEC pressure switch is not there (my g/fs P28 is complaining of this very problem since I have yet to fix her wiring
)... So my guess is USDM ECUs will throw a code if its missing...

^^type-r ecu on a b16. dont blow it up (~9000rev limit)
and yeah its true,,,that ecu doesnt look for vtec pressure switch so thats why there is no code..

im pretty sure its only obd2 that dont have it..cause i got a bunch of motors here right now in front of my face

Pretty much all OBD0 and OBD1 have it, some OBD2 JDM do not therefore their corresponding ECU's don't require it, i have a couple if anyone needs them PM me $25
