CF means Carbon Fiber (as in a CF hood)
Note: For basic stuff, like your questions, you're probably better off searching with google.com instead of here on honda-tech.
Good luck and read the FAQs out there on the Internet. Almost any question you could have has already been answered and most likely put into FAQ form.

Re: i am new to the board's and new to the honda lingo.. (b16a4me)
--------
I think that should be 88-91 for the EF (at least for america's versions). And by EF, it is the chassis code for the jdm (or japanese domestic market) version of the car.
--------
Oops, I was half-asleep when I posted that last night. Thanks for the corrections.
I guess I just wanted to push him in the right direction.
SpeedPhreak, cool list

I have a large info page in my tool box, that has all the info on chasis info, for all Honda/Acura platforms, updated too 2002. It's nice to have Dealership connections. When I get to my tool box I'll look for the chasis code on the 3rd gen civic-USDM/JDM. iight later.

The Chasis code for a 3g USDM Civic 86-87 is AH Eng EW4
The Chasis code for the JDM 3g is AT Eng ZC

Re: i am new to the board's and new to the honda lingo.. (josups)
Personally, for the money you spend on a B18C5 I would rather build an LS/VTEC (B18A/B block with a VTEC head) or just build a B18C1 (GSR motor). Unless you get a B18C5 for a steal you're pretty much buying a name (I have a Type R motor in my CRX), i'd rather have a fully built GSR motor for the same price that would spank a stock Type R motor powered CRX.
