yes stock motor has potential if it has low mileage and is fully functional, yes you can turbo it but i wouldnt recomend it,get diffrent cams, stock horsepower is 108 but it has short gear ratios so it feels like more, yes intake makes a diffrence get an aem cold air and borrow a short ram you can totally tell, aem cold air is better, quarter mile stock is anywhere between 15. and 17. depending on what type of driver you are

about 100hp stock...great for turbo. a potential killer. things are much cheaper cuz its in demand but not as much as b h or k series. but to really realized hella power you've gotta pretty much redo all internals cuz they only hold about 220 hp.

coilovers are good for an si but just get a camber kit before you put them on.......the motor is 108 horsepower but your only pulling a 2000 pound car so .....cams um i think i forgot the name of the company but i know that there is some company that will install vtec cams into your car and it will "give you around 130 horsepower at the wheels" like a stock ex coupe....i think iam not all for sure on that but just save over summer and buy a b16 engine then youll be straight

but is that reliable power, what kind of gas would he need to run on that type of compression, the only thing that we have here in cali is 91 and its mixed with some shady ****. i dont know i would just say do beefier rods and pistons, cryo the whole motor, 450cc injectors, 255 pump and some boost would set that motor out, a b16 IMO isnt worth the money, save your pennies and do a turbocharged engine, just make sure you have enough fuel and the right management system so you dont blow your motor sky high
