New o2 sensor(s)
Fuel filter
Oil change/filter
Make sure tires arent underinflated
Fuel injection cleaner
That tornado thing really helps to ..
And check for vacuum leaks ,,because a leak will get you shitty mpg..

I know how you feal, my B16's gas milage was always up and down. It was not because of a lead foot. Now that I have a crv-tec in there the gas milage is always bad. The next thing for me to buy, to solve this gas thing it a fuel control. I will let you know if things get any better.

Put it in my fathers car and he got about 7-10 more mpg..I doubt if he got any power but it does help with gas milelage..

it works till it falls apart on you,
that **** is put together so shitty that it breaks really easily. id check your fuel return lines and your fuel feed lines going into the fuel rail, you might have a leak, i was leaking gas after my turbo setup, i was getting about 8mpg

I notice the same with my b16 but you know what it is? gearing. you jump on the freeway for a good mount of time there goes ur gas. 4k rpms at 70? yea. so about 23mpg sounds pretty close.

i can get 35 mpg in my crx gsr with uberdata. I'm running 15.1-15.5 a/f partial throttle and if i never hit vtec it does pretty good. But even if i do i still get 27 mpg. Time for some partial throttle tuning. I dont even run a o2 sensor no more i just started tuning it myself as weather changed. I run a little lean but i have no detonation problems or anything the car runs like a champ. K Maybe its time to bust out some turbo edit or uberdata and show that ecu who is boss...just a suggestion. I know its not for everyone buts its worth a try.

I have a ys1 with even shorter gears than a j1 and I'm running 13's with 40 series tires and at 70mph i'm at like 4100-4200 rpm. edit: nvm if you stay in 5th gear a j1 is higher. btw I get 30+ mpg on the freeway and 24 or so when I rip on it.

remember its 1.6 don't mean it will save gas.

I had some badd gas mileage with my b16b maybe cause of my supra fuel pump. but anyways I have a si now now this baby saves some major gas.

fill up was 10gal like nearly 20bucks.
regular 88.
