Help please!
I'm not a car guy at all and I am hoping you all can help me.
I have a 1991 Honda Civic DX 2dr 16valve engine. I need to replace
my alternator. Its loose in there but I can't get out through the top or bottom.
Do I need to remove the brake master cylinder? Thanks.

mine came out through the driverside inner fender.take some of the plastic apart in ur fender and it should fit throught there,it tales so moving around and u'll probably think u have to take ur axle off but u don't.just don't have the car jacked on the the control arm.

it will fit in and out with the pulley facing either straight up (or straight down, can't remember).....
and since it's asymmetrical it has to be twisted the right way.....
in this configuration it will fit just behind the passenger axle - maybe driver's axle too?
if that's too much trouble then yes you can remove the master cylinder
