I had a similar problem in my 91 CRX Si. I replaced the driver door and my seat belt light and buzzer would not stop, annoying as hell. I called the dealer service dept and they told me since it was seat belt related, they were required to fix it for free. This was almost 9 years ago, but it wouldn't hurt to try. I never actually found out what was causing it though.

So, the horn fuse made the seatbelt chime go on and the door open light go on? Meaning the fuse was blown? Forgive my ignorance, but where could I find the horn fuse? Does that mean the horn won't work if the fuse is blown?

I had the same problem on my 1990 Civic DX and solved it by unplugging the wires under the rearview mirror display as suggested. I broke the plastic prying it off, but oh well. It fits back up there good enough without falling out, and now the random beeping noise doesn't drive me freaking crazy.

I like pictures with my instructions, so here's one for anyone else who might like it:

Have a similar problem. But I have no door open light. My seatbelt light goes out when I put belt on. It's only while car it running and I don't have to be driving it can be when in the driveway. I just built the car from a shell and we'll almost everything had to be replaced the car was in really bad shape. I prefer it fix the problem rather than disconnecting the box discussed in the thread. Driver and passanger door seem to shut like it's supposed to and stay tight when shut however the hatch does seem to have a little play. But once again no door light really one isn't on when the door is open. I don't remember it doing this before I pulled the junk d series engine out and only work done to interior harness was a dpfi to mpfi harness I had a shop make so nearly plug and play just had to add a couple pins to ecu harness and move a couple. Non related to anything interior.

Is this thread still active? I have a 90 civic dx hatch, driver door automatic seat belt sensor always hot, somehow got connected to fuse 35 in engine compartment. That's the one for Horn/Brake light. Causes parasitic drain of .5 amps. Trying to trace the wires to a place where I can rewire to switched power. Unplugging next to the rewind mechanism just sets off the alarm. Any ideas? Thanks
