Which Helms Manual is needed?.......
I have a 90 Civic HB with and d16a6 motor from a 91. Which Shop manual do I need?

...i just got a Chiltons. It covers everything for 88-91 hb n rex and IMO is better than hHelms

the chiltons is written by domestic guys.....
the helms is an exact reprint of the manuals used in the honda dealership....
written by the engineers who designed and produced the vehicle.
i fail to see how a third party anything is "better" then that.
you have a 91 si hatchback, which is considered a "civic 3 door" the two doors plus the hatch. aparently honda also includes the sedan in your manual, no biggie.
part number 61SH330 is the manual to get.

Helms is what you want.
Chilton and Haynes are generic for the most part. they will get your through an oil change and a brake job and that's about it.
"Seek professional help." statements when try finding any internal transmission and engine help.
Auto transmissions require specialized tools. good luck.

yeah no.... whoever said chiltons is better than helms has an opinion that stinks.
you can find the automatic transmission manual from honda uk site for the crx under teh 1990 supplement. google: "honda shop manual uk crx"
