I would want to say a fried ecm. But that wouldn't really explain the speedo as that is controlled by a cable going directly to the tranny. Still, it's prob a computer problem.

Did you buy the car with this problem or did the problem start happening after something was worked on?
Did you ever have the cluster out?
Is it a cluster swap?

Re: Gauge cluster has a mind of it's own??
I just got off the phone with the previous owner he said it was like that when he got it and didn't try to fix it he just parked it. It's the stock cluster and the last time I had it out was back in 05 when I first owned the car and it was out to replace speedo cable and i didn't have this problem then

So you didn't have the problem in 05 when you first owned the car.
Did you sell it and buy it back and now it has the problem?
OR did the problem just start recently?
If the problem just started recently, was there any work done anywhere on the car where the cluster was fine before and then this problem after?
Was the engine or interior harness worked on EVER?
