i couldnt tell you the amount gained.. i can tell you that you can feel a difference mainly cuz the lightness of the car. and its good to do anyways so you can put any engine in your car in the future without worring about wiring it up. its a ncie little project for people with basic knowledge of honda engines and good for learning.

I would agree depending on if the car had say like an intake on it already.
oh and once your done mpfi you can do alot more.
Wiring it up is um fun lol.

how can you say its hardely worth it????? if you dont have the money or dont want to swap out your whole engine you can just do the intake manifold and wire up for mpfi. then in the future you have less work to do when you swap your engine. you can get better gas milage aswell with the mpfi swap. and you can notice a difference. wiring isnt difficult at all.. i found it pretty easy the hardest part was putting the intake on but thats because i did it outside when it was almost snowing out. that wasnt fun at all. if you have access to all the stuff you need you should do it.

Who said it's hardly worth it?
For arppox 200 bucks adding 10-20% more HP thats freaking amazing, plus making the car safer to run f/i or if you swap then your wiring is mostly out of the way.

lol, its not worth it in my opinion... I drove my friends dx, we did the dpfi to mpfi... took all day for wiring, and wrenching, and It didnt feel much better really. But who knows, im used to driving a 245whp crx...
EDIT: so ya, time taken, and cost for new dizzy, IM, TB, ECU... not worth it

well ya if you have to buy a NEW distributor its not worth it at all.. but if you can get a good deal on everything you need then it is. i think i spent 150 for everything needed to do it.

its the ONLY 15 hp+ that is actually felt and feels like night and day difference. I dont understand some ppl...."well....if u have to buy a distributor then its not worth it"....dont listen to pessimistic comments by ppl who have done the swap and according to them its almost the same as it was when it had dpfi. Cuz I can guarantee you that they fudged something up, as if you do the swap correct like according to my write up I made using shielded wire for all your new sensors and fuel injector wires and a proper pm6 ecu, then you WILL feela difference.
Just look at my 1/4 mile run in my sig...i was running 17's with dpfi and the EXACT same I/H/E. COnverted to mpfi but still kept my dx tranny and d15b2 cam(faster in the 1/4 mile than 15.6 because si cam still has some timing issues to take care of )

I'm hoping it's a big difference.. I couldn't beleive the difference in acceleration in my g/fs stock a6 vs my d15b2 i/h/e.. I have all the parts to do mpfi just no time to take my car outta commision and do it.. I'm wondering if mpfi really is the more noticable gain or if the big difference is the crx si tranny... probably a mix of both.

Yea, I'm mainly just doing it now so that later I will have it done and since I can't afford anything too big right now and for the efficiency of the better setup and wiring and things aren't a problem including a co-worker that has a CRX Si Dizzy so that's already taken care of and along with that I will be putting in a 5 speed which the same guy knows someone selling an Si tranny. Even 10 hp is good by me, I wouldn't really care if it was no gain but I was wondering anyways cuz no one actually puts how much of a difference the swap makes. And theres a good junkyard by me so parts isn't really a problem either. Does anyone know where I can get one of those block off plates/cap if I were to use the B7 manifold and OBD1 injectors?

I've done the MPFI swap on three Hatches and it's totally worth it. But do it right if your gunna do it to a D15. I got everything... the intake manifold, injector resistor box, PM6 ECU, Distributor, ZC (Sohc) Cam (or the D16A6 is the same), ZC Cam gear, and all the extra wires needed.
It's a real easy swap, the wiring is a bitch, but I just used my Haynes manual and looked at the differences between the DX ECU wiring and the Si ECU wiring and figured everything out.
My completely stock 91 Hatch (D15B DX tranny) ran 20.6 in the 1320! Gay I know, But with the MPFI swap, I/H/E, I was hitting 15.9s consistantly. So Over 4 seconds (I'd say about half if not more due to the MPFI and cam swap alone) I think it's definately worth it. Plus have you ever seen the throttle body on the DPFI manifold? Freakin tiny!

PACT man? are u a PACT student? if you are then you know who I am...I did the MPFI swap on my 90 DPFI hatch, was fairly easy...yo once you get all the **** I can help you out...its not hard at all, and yeah I noticed the difference the second I hit the gas a 10whp easy...

ok i only said its not worth doing if you have to buy a new dizzy because a new one is over 400 dollars.. at least it is where i live.. i mean dont let that stop you im sure you can find a used one. i was in that boat and found a used one for 70 bucks.. over priced in my mind but worth it still. im not putting this swap down at all and i dont see how you go thtat out of what i wrote.. and to the guy that put the zc cam and gears in.. thats pretty cool that you did that but wouldnt it have been better to just buy the whole engine if you wanted a zc cam? but i guess it doesnt matter since thats the only real difference between engines.

My brother recently got an EG 4 door with a D15B7. I gave it a test drive and jesus christ it feels WAYY faster than my DPFI on my '91 hatch despite the huge weight difference of the sedan. I can't wait to do an MPFI swap.

Yes, I'm a PACT student and then only other person I know in PACT with a EF is a white one with a Jackson Racing Supercharged B16.

I said the only person I know in PACT has that kind of EF, I just got mine and I don't go to Robert Morgan, I go to the training center in Weston and I'm perfectly capable of doing the swap myself.
