Fuel Gauge Help
YES i SEARCHED! Just saying for the H-T users who are going say "search, search, search"
Anyways My fuel gauge is stuck on half when i first got my car.
It didnt bother me till later when i ran out of gas lol. i know!
i wanted to fix this. Its stuck either when its on or not. I cant
hear of my fuel pump is kicking in cause the exhaust is too loud.
Even i asked a buddy to check but cant hear shizzle.
Anyways while driving and gasing the past few weeks it would move up and down. It even went up to full tank then 2 weeks later stuck on half but still moves a little up and down.
Just want to confirm if anyone has this problem.
is it maybe the sending unit? fuel pump?
Thanks in advance

Re: Fuel Gauge Help
On the EF you can get to the sending unit under the back seat. Remove the 3 phillips head screws, then remove the 2 pin connector from sending unit. To check gauge and wiring place a jumper inbetween the 2 wires on the connector when its unplugged and the fuel gauge should go up, disconnect before reaching full. Now to check sending unit measure the resistance between the two pins, you may want to remove sending unit from tank to check the ohm reading when all the way up and down. I believe empty is around 100ohms and full is 1-5 ohms. Hope this helps!

Re: Fuel Gauge Help
Well i dont got those jumper item and those ohm reader thingy.
I tried disconecting the fuel sending unit while my car was on and my fuel gauge needle went all the way down and check engine light turned on.
But when i put the sending unit connector back and turned on the car it went up to half tank and still stuck.
Any help?
