Fog light help!

Fog light help!
Ok, found out from a very experienced person... efparts.com that these are USDM CRX fog lights and brackets. My question is.... How do I make these fit my '91 si hacthback? I have a USDM bumper, no front end conversion. The guy I spoke to at efparts.com said the brackets wont work. He might be able to get me a set of custom brackets that he has made in the past. If not looking for ideas.....
P.s. Picked the set of fog lights, oem harness with relay & switch for $80. I think its a pretty good deal. What do you think?

Hb and Crx brackets are different. The base bracket that mounts to the actual lights is the same, but the portion that bolts to the bumper support is different. I have had both sets so I can tell you any differences that you need to know. Post pics of your lights, for $80 I think you may have gotten prelude lights instead of oem Crx lights

here are pics of my crx brackets:
and here are pics of the HB/Sedan:
pretty much the main difference is on the section that mounts to the bumper support. as you can see on the crx there is a bend on the bracket. whereas the HB/Sedan theres is like a straight piece of sheet metal. the HB/Sedan brackets have a small tab that helps align the bracket and only bolts down with 1 bolt, where the crx uses 2 bolts to hold it in place. hope this helps.

Re: Fog light help!
ok, so what I gather the lights and brackets off the lights on USDM fogs are all the same. Its the second bracket (which according to your post means I have crx brackets) are the parts that are different. Any clue as to where I can get a hold of the brackets I need for hatch?
Was this a good deal? lights, brackets for CRX, harness with relay & switch for $80?

Re: Fog light help!
i picked up my USDM fogs for $20 for the complete set up. usdm brackets are harder to find than jdm brackets. i ended up giving my complete set up to my buddy for his sedan. i have jdm lights with usdm brackets on my EF8 front end.

$20 Thats a screaming deal. I thought $80 was pretty dam good. Down in so cali everyone tries to F&@k each other. They sell used pieces of crap, rusted brackets chipped or broken lenses no harness or switch for $200+. im happy with what I got, just need to get the right brackets to make them sit right. Cant wait to get them on...... there gonna look good!

Re: Fog light help!
Nice find those are in fact the USDM ones. If I were you I would make custom brackets. The USDM fogs are easier to mount because they mount to the bumper support. The JDM ones actually mount to the frame separate from the bumper.
Your factory bumper has an outline on the backside for proper placement (DON'T CUT IT TOO BIG!!!) Trace the actual fog size on the back before you cut. Then just work backwards from there to get the proper fitment.

Re: Fog light help!
Thanks JDMboyef9. Now just got to find someone how wants to cough up there brackets....lol or at least let me barrow them. Im a fabricator with the ability to lazer cut brackets and even weld on the little alignment nub. if not then its custom brackets for me... just as long as I can get them to sit proper like they were supposed to.... thanks for the heads up on the cutting of the bumper.

Re: Fog light help!
Well I could, but any good fabricator will tell you why do all that work if you can have exact measurements and let a waterjet machine cut the brackets for you. Time is money my friend... rather than make brackets and refit and adjust over and over till they fit just right, why not bolt them up and be done.
