Default FIRST SWAP: DPFI TO MPFI

IF IN THE PROCESS OF MY FIRST SWAP. I HAVE A EF STD AND SWAPPING OVER TO A A6. THE MOTER IS DROPPED IN ALREADY JUST LITTLE SMALL STUFF.
-CAN I USE MY DX DISTRIBUTOR AND DX ECU?
-CAN I REWIRE THE INJECTORS WITH MY DX ECU OR MUST I HAVE A SI ECU IN ORDER FOR IT TO WORK?
-ANYONE HAVE A PICTURE OF HOW THEY HOOKED UP THEIR VACCUM LINES TO THE INTAKE MANIFOLD
-CAN I USE MY DX AXLES?

you need a dpfi to mpfi swap on your dx, and you need a si dizzy and ecu. Call me about a dp to mp if you want.

MPFI wiring is the easiest ever....the only hard part is taking the old intake off and installing the new one. swapping the MPFI is HELL!!! if ur stupid like me and you buy a new intake gasket for the swap but you dont use it and have vacuum leaks = revvving to 5500rpm....GET A NEW GASKET WHEN DOING SWAP...also tighten the intake bolts from middle outwards and ONLY put that rear manifold brace on when all of the bolts are completely tight

Si ecu....on the si ecu it will have "pm6" written on a sticker.
If you are changing the engine to an a6..you can still use your dx tranny and all of the accessories. You will need an SI distributor but if you are using an A6 it should already be on the head. If you had an old 1.5 in there before it had to off been Dual P fuel injection so keep your stock wiring harness in there and just go through the internet guides on the wiring conversion. (dont cut any thing from the DX harness yet).....how far on are you?

In doing the MPFI swap.....I will help you and answer any question you have because I went through everything doing my swap...so ask me anything

its the only sensor on the throttle body and its extremely easy to swtich the wires....just take your already intact with the harness TPS plug and get a sharp punch or something to that effect and push the little tab holding the pin in up on the the outside wires so you can pull out the wires and switch them(2 outside wires only..dont touch the red wire.....HOWEver if you havent extended the 3 TPS plug wires about 10inches,,,,,,then you can switch the wires as you are extending them....thats it

use common sense....dont switch the wires at the plug if you already switched them extending them......
