Default eg radiator fan

Hey just got done putting the eg half radiator in my car today. working great leaned back a little no problems there. had a question about the fan....i am using my old one right now but have the one from the eg which is quite smaller. it has a different plug though and i'm not too electrical savvy so i was just wondering if i can just cut the blue and black wire and splice (or whatever it's called) them onto my old fans plug??? would this work??? thx in advance

cut the wire after the old plug (between the plug and the old fan), cut the plug off the new fan and solder the common wires together, so you will end up with the new fan using the old plug.
