Default EF civic sterio problem

well i guess i don't know what's wrong with my headunit or maybe it's something to do with the wiring but when i bought my 88' civic two years ago the stock wiring harness to the radio was cut off so i got a new one from a junked civic and hooked up all the wires right, and had a aftermarket headunit in but it doesn't seem to work at all, tryed three different headunits that works fine in other cars, but my problem is that i don't know what's really wrong with my sterio? where can the problem be? if you can help me i would appreciate it..i'm not a sterio guy so i don't know what's really wrong..

check the stereo fuse in the fuse box under the steering column. the fuse in the back of the stereo wouldnt be the problem in this case since u tried multiple stereos that work in other cars.
For future reference, instead of cuttin a wire harness out of a junkyard car, you can just go to the local audio store and pick up what is called a reverse harness. It is a brand new replacement for your stock harness in case someone cut the wires like in ur situation.

If the fuse isnt the problem feel free to PM me or Im me on AIM s/n is: supligirt
I used to work at best buy doin this stuff so, I can help u trouble shoot.

I have had the same problem too.

I am going to rewire it, that is not very hard. I just time, wire and to bum some tools.

I always hate having to work in that cramped area, make sure u test the wires with a multi meter before taking the time to rewire it all. If the problem isnt the wires u r gonna be kicking urself.
