Drivers Axel seals from honda? I have 2 difference sizes, which one?
So i have an Si (90) and Dx (88) tranny laying on my garage floor...both have the same sized seals on both axel sides. I wanted to replace the seals on the 90 Si tranny so i order what it says on slhondaparts.com for DRIVERS SIDE.
It says for 90 Si's PN# 91205-PL3-B01 OIL SEAL (40X56X8)
It says for 99 Dx's PN# 91205-PL3-A01 OIL SEAL (35X56X8)
The Si supposedly has a bigger opening for the drivers side axle? I thought all SI/DX axles 88-91 were the same? My axles fit the smaller opening but maybe this seal is an okay replacement?
Someone let me in on the secret.

Re: Drivers Axel seals from honda? I have 2 difference sizes, which one? (AgentJam)
My buddy has a crx with a b16. with y1 cable trans. Okay. Now when he bought the engine they gave him a GSR intermediate shaft, with it. It fit in not big deal. While it ran out of oil and burnt up his tranny.
The problem was it was the wrong seal. You need to match the seal to the transmission. Like in the GSR case, intermediate shaft is the same, just the size of the hole in the tranny.

that's for the reply but that doesn't help me. The seal that is supposed to be for the tranny is wrong, the old seal that is on the tranny is right but the new one on honda's site is different.
