do 88/89 crx corner lights fit 90 crx ?
i realise the 88/89 corner lenses have 2 holes for mounting screws to go through to mount them to the fender, and i know the 90/91 corner lenses just have tabs that slide to fender,
i just want to know if the 88/89 corner lights are the same shape as the 90/91 ones ?
ive had trouble being able to line up the corner lights to the fender and headlights,
and one reason is the stupid tabs are a dumb design, theyre thin and break easily and just not a good way to keep them tight and secured, only solution i could think of would be drilling small holes through and using screws to screw through and into the fender cause then it would hold it down good,
but then i realised that the 88-89 crx corner lights already have 2 holes meant for mounting screws to go through, so i was wondering if i can use some 88/89 corner lights and just screw some screws through the holes into the fender to hold it down, but wanted to ask first if the 88/89 corner lights would be able to fit the same to the same shape exactly ? or not ?

I think they are a little differently shaped. Also, the civic and CRX lights are definitely different. I made that mistake once.
I thought between 89 and 90 they did some sort of 'face lift' to the civic and crx. Not 100% sure on that.

alright, thanks for the confirmation or opinions,
i guess i'll just carefully drill 2 small holes through my 1990 crx corner lights in a similar location as the holes on the 88/89 ones, and screw some pointed long screws into the fender metal or put some plastic screw hole things in place of where the tab slots are and screw into those since that would be the right way
i would use screws with small heads that are'nt too noticeable so it won't look ugly, and really its probably better i don't use 88/89 corners cause they have those 2 big holes that look ugly, i would'nt make the holes as big on mine.
just sick of my corner lights being all loose and crooked looking and stuff, just looks cheap.

uh, lots of scattered info in this thread. also some wild *** guesses and incorrect info.
the corner lights are different, but interchangeable.
the screws that the 88 corner lights use go into plastic anchors in the fender. these anchors are in the same place as the receiving T slots that the 90 use. so you need to replace these plastic anchors.
the other thing that you need to be concerned about is that the headlight brackets on the 90 also have a slot to help secure the corner lights. this is not as easy to change over. but you can if you change the headlights and bracket. its not completely necessary, but the corner lights will be a bit loose and "flappy" for lack of a better description.

Re: do 88/89 crx corner lights fit 90 crx ?
i did figure out how the anchor hole things from the 88/89 ones were same shape as the tab things that go on the fender of the 90/91 ones, just from looking at them, and that was an option, to just screw the 88/89 type corner lights into the anchor holes,
but i decided not to use 88/89 corner lights cause the mounting screws looked big and ugly to me, and instead i was just going to carefully drill 2 small holes through the 90/91 corner lights in a similar spot as where the holes are on the 88/89 ones, but i'll use smaller and thinner mounting screws that are'nt so noticeable and that are a light silver color so you can't see them as much when against the clear corner lenses.
i drilled 2 holes on one of the lenses, and did'nt break, i put duct tape on the surface and used tiny drill bit, and then used a little bigger bit until it was the size to fit the screws i was using, i did'nt do anything else cause i need to buy those anchor screw hole things.
why do the corner lights need to have the one screw mounted on the headlight bracket ?
would'nt it be fine for it just to be mounted to the fender side only ? or would it not be lined up along the side edge of the headlight as good ?
does seem hard lining my corner lights, with the headlights and fenders etc . ., like just cause i line it up with the recessed area on the fender, that does'nt mean it will line up with the headlight, cause the headlight might have a broken part in the bracket or adjustment thing where it is lop-sided, or the fender is mounted where its positioned slightly off, so its like you have to make sure everything is perfect to make it all fit together like a puzzle piece, but its not perfect, cause the cars 23 yrs old and had a few wrecks along the way . . . .
didnt mean to write that much about such a simple thing, i think i'm just overtired and dragging this on too long for being such a little un-important topic when it should'nt be,
