i used the same orange stuff like 6 months ago, i guess it would hurt to put a few black coats on it, even tho that damn paint cost 6 bucks a can.

haha, ok, i couldnt find any of that stained glass paint, and someone told me they had discontinued it, so i searched for an alternative. either way, i am very glad with how they turned out.

they look totally different depending on the angle of light. the car is fresh out of the paintbooth for anyone wondering, and i still have to put the interior back together, all the side glass, and molding etc, and swap in my crx dash stuff, and a bunch of other ****. the ntercooler is just there for fitting, the turbo is going in when it warms up a little
and i cant take a pic with the lights on, i have no battery for the car right now

looked better stock.

the amber on the corner makes the headlamps end at a sharp angle. one side of the headlamp is angled, why the other side is just cut short due to the amber.

if the headlamps were amber, that'd be different... but the contrast of the white then BAM amber... ugly.

but, to each their own.

Very innovative, I like how you used the Tamiya paint. I have a friend who's into plastic models and used to use that for his models. That's expensive stuff though, isn't it?

Edit: NM. Saw the price tags on the cans. Damn, that's expensive stuff hahaha.

i'm about to do my corners amber as well... but no smoke for me... just straight amber... i couldn't find a shop that carried the clear orange so i just ordered it from tamiya directly at http://www.tamiyausa.com/

i'll post pics when i'm done with it..

and yes... krylon discontinued the stained glass orange... they only make red, blue, and yellow now...
