Code 8 : top dead centre sensor. Easy fix?

Re: Code 8 : top dead centre sensor. Easy fix?
So I swapped the pins at C3 and C4 at the distributor connector, started the car up, and the CEL is still there.
Should I drive it awhile and hope it goes away? Or would it have gone away instantly?
Im not currently driving the car so I am still unsure if this code affects performance or not.
Any help is appreciated

Did you clear the code from the ECU by pulling the hazard fuse in the engine bay? Try that if you haven't.

good to know, I dont drive the car on the road yet, but it drives mint and idles perfect so I was hoping not to have to spend $150 for a new one, would rather put that money towards a swap

I have the same code on my 1991 Honda crx, why should I do? I called auto zone to see if they had it and they said there’s 2 different types of distributors for my car, I told them the year, model and engine type for the crx but I’m really confused on how there can be 2 possible distributors for my car, I don’t wanna buy the wrong part.
