Default Clutch.

Hey guys, I got a question for everyone, and yes, I searched.

So anyways i got out for a spin one day, come home, everythings fine, park the car, leave it. 2 days later I go out to my car and get in, start it up, put the clutch in, try to put it in reverse, and heard that horrible gear grinding sound, so i let go of the clutch, pushed it in again, and tried it again, the same thing happening, so I try going into first, while the car is on, no dice, no dice for the 3 other gears either, it goes into the gears fine when the engine is off, so i think its the clutch. I already have the clutch to install, but am wondering if theres a quick fix, or do i have to pay the 260~ to get it installed. Thanks. Il put up a pic if theres any interest.

Did it slip before? When was the last time you had it fixed? What tranny/engine?

There is an adjuster right on the tranny itself that adjusts the cable so that it takes the slack out if your clutch is wearing down.

Same thing happend on my car, put the clutch in about half way then see if it will shift. It should just be clutch cable also make sure what fluid u put into your tranny. My 89 si used 10w30 or 10w40 motor oil , with the ratings sg, sf
