clunking in rear and lots of vibration......im a honda newbie please help!
Ok guys i just bought a 90 civic hatch, and im having a weird clunking in the rear and getting alot of vibration in the steering wheel. The clunking is worse sometimes than other times, and sometimes when I hit the brakes it gets louder and i can feel it in the pedal.
Any helpful ideas?

warped rotors or drum maybe ~ might just adjust the one making the noise ((:
can happen when locking up the brakes for a moment and what not.
taking the wheel off and the drum then spinning it would be your best bet
then probably replacing a drum~cheap

I appreciate the help so far guys!
Killbot I have driven it just a couple hundred miles, I just got the car a couple weeks ago.
Butter thanks I will try that later if the weather gets a little nicer.

Thanks for the help guys! Ended up being a bad wheel bearing on the rear driver side, quick and simple replacement and that was solved. Car still has alot of other issues but I think im setting a good pace so far. Replaced bad tires, bad front axles and bad wheel bearing all in the first couple weeks of ownership.
Now if I can get this throwout bearing replaced and replace all the bushings on the car it might actually not be too bad to drive!

wrong. waist all your money on a paint job and some new wheels. then worry about weather it will drive or not. thats what all the cool kids do. and dont forget the body kit!
