can the ECT switch stop coolant flow?
I ask because my B16a2 is overheating and my top hose gets hot while my lower hose stays cold. This made me think it was the thermostat and I switched it but the engine still overheats and both the hoses behave the same way. I tried bleeding the coolant but no luck. I noticed that the fans do not turn on so I ghetto bypassed the ECT switch and my fans turned on without a problem. Thus, I am am on my way to buy a new ECT switch. But I still do not think this explains why the bottom hose remains cold while the top one gets hot. Please let me know what else I can check. Thanks again HT.

Re: can the ECT switch stop coolant flow? (Intocable)
dump and fill your rad. to make sure its not clogged(use mostly water so you dont waste coolant, if it is the WP)
if you get the same results WP
other than it making noise or leaking,no
