cam/rocker arms problem?? 90 DX d15
ok i was doin a head swap on a d15 90 civic dx motor and when we tried to start it, it looks like the cam didnt spin cuz we didnt get spark. the keyway ate the cam gear so i had to get a new thing of both. i did that and we tested to see if the cam would spin. it doesnt spin at all. basically we had the valve cover off and tried to spin the cam gear. it wouldnt move at all. we checked the pistons and they were clear of hitting valves. we are stumped. if the cam isn't from the same head as the rocker arms could that be a problem. any suggestions? thanks

Re: cam/rocker arms problem?? 90 DX d15a (tjbizzo)
huh maybe i got my engine code wrong. but basically its a 1990 civic dx motor. could the head itself be the problem? because when it was on my friend's car, it had snapped the cam the same way is it did on mines. what could that be though? maybe it seized? could a head seize? i have no idea. i dont primarily work on hondas. any help would be much appreciated. thanks!
