Burning oil!!!
My friend just bought a new 92 civic 4door with automatic transmission, now the car is having problems. The car has been burning an unusually high amount of oil
as much as one liter of oil between gas fill up. It has more than 200k KM's on it
around 130k miles. And in these few days, the car is hard to start, takes a few tries
for cold starts, don't know if that's weather related. It was first owner-ed, bought it from a dealer as-is in Toronto, don't know what the first owner did on the car.
I know the hard starting is hard to trace problem, but what about the high oil consumption? does low oil pressure affect the cold starting of the car?

Yea your valve seals are most likely bad. You are probably getting blow by in your pistons too. An engine swap would probably be a lot easier than tearing down the block and rebuilding it. I had the same problem with my 89 CRX Si (burning oil). I just swaped the engine to solve my problem. good luck in what ever you decide to do.

your best bet would be to do a swap but in the meantime run some mobil 1 15w-50. I use it in my 89 rex dx with 240,000 miles on it. I went from a quart a week to a quart a month. It runs a lot smoother with it too
