Default AC removal question?

Hello I have a 1991 honda civic hatchback, I want to use this car as a track car, and loose weight here and there. I want to remove the AC it doesn't work just blows hot air, and i want to remove it. But i am a little scared of the V12 i heard it can make you sick and vomit and stuff. So how can i tell if there is anymore in the actual system. How can i remove it legally and is there any advice you have on this job?

Legally? Find a shop that can recover R12. Take your car and money.

Press the valve to see if there is even any in the lines. system might not work because it all leaked out already

AC Valves are right by the fuse panel, passenger side, on the AC piping. May have caps on them.

If it still has the cap, it will look like a big valve stem cap (for a tire) that is blue. Unscrew that, and there is a schrader valve under it (again, looks like the valve stem on a tire). Use a small flathead screwdriver to temporarily press the shrader valve - if it hisses and blows out anything, you will need to have the system evacuated by a shop. If nothing happens, the system is likely empty.
