Hi everyone, i have 2 question for you EF guru'S
Did a DA integra exhaust line and muffler fit on a ef hatch ???
I might have a great deal on my friend's oem line and i like to know if it require major customizing to fit. my 1.5 dx exhaust line is so small... i need more flow...
Did a d16y8 intake manifold/distributor fit on a d15b2 head ????
id like to build my old engine and run it with my actual obd2a setup. if its possible ?
thank you for bringing me further in my project !!!
peace

First, congrats on the tie down. Made me happy.
Yes, more or less. The 'B-pipe' needs to be shortened and the exhaust tip is often too long. The axle bad is exactly the same and clears the sway bar and such perfectly. You can make it work with a little fines.
Yes, it will fit. You will have to do the MFPI swap and use the correct ECU. Please note the B2 head does not have VTEC so I think the Y7 ECU is probably a better match. Just spit balling this.

Re: 91 HB civic SI build up !
I meant 'axle back' by the way.
As for the B-pipe, that is the one that goes under the car to the cat. I believe the Integra is longer than the Civic exhaust. The B-pipe is just a name. It is between the cat and the axle back portion.
I am thinking the brackets are close. If not, welding on new brackets really isn't hard.

Re: 91 HB civic SI build up !
Hi everyone !! its been long time i havent been here !
its holiday so i could take a little time to work on the EF
Season 2014 has been a great season for me and my friends we had a lot of fun at Nappierville dragstrip,
my personnal 1/4 drag strip record is 15.56
Here is the last pic i took of the hatch at summer
But now the winter setup is ready, no more tempo this year !!!! yeah, my car is in my cousin's barn
I was ****** tired of earing my poor audio setup. So i started to do a speakerbox to integrate some rear speakers in my ''stripped'' ef
I had some great 6x9 from my donor car acura1.6EL, plus i had some pionneer speaker cover that i had in over from changing the rear speakers in my daily driver EK
Here is the final result, wiring is all done and pretty much invisible, i like it and it really fix my crappy sound issue,
total cost 0$.
Also did some more experimentation with my "special from the backyard" rear wing project
Im really not sure im liking it...but it still interessting.
peace HT

Thank you Marcos, i had time to continue working on my "special from the backyard" rear wing, it finally start to look great
You can see under that its the same shape than the stock spoiler but 3" wider. the underside will be painted black
Than i spray a black basecoat on it to see the imperfection, still need to sand it more, but it start to look like a wing
Also received this christmas gift for the EF
As you can see, we have a lot of work to do on my cousin's EG9 as well (complete engine bay cleanup)
Peace HT

Re: 91 HB civic SI build up !
SO its been a little hotter outside (between -5 and +5 c) so i could work a little on the car to get it ready for the 2015 season (should get the car out in april)
I've been working on a "ANTI-LEAK" operation
Who said oil leak ?????
After a good cleanup
Ready to install back on the block ! i must say the d16y8's aluminum cast pan is great to work with, compare to the other d-series pan
Step 2 of the anti-leak operation was the crank seal. the god dam crank pulley bolt was obviously seized
I had no access to a good compressor/impact
So i did a little research and found this trick using a chain attached to the engine mount and a breaker bar... It worked !!!!!!
Old seal was really worn. Im glad this job is done.

Re: 91 HB civic SI build up !
Looking good mate! I was considering doing the same engine swap but over here in Australia our EF/Eds came with the D15B4 dual carb, I like the responsievness of the carbs, got a D15B coming in soon just in case I get tempted one day lol. Keen to see how your builds continues on!

Re: 91 HB civic SI build up !
To be honest there is no major change on the car since the last time i came here, but i did used the car as a daily on 2015 summer .The engine is still running great (12000km after the swap) and now i am preparing my self for a transmission rebuild before 2016 summer. The bearing are very noisy, i am going to replace them but i havn't started the job yet, i came here to motivate my self a little. :D
so i have a couple of pic that might interess you :
Chillin' with the local hatch crew
Helping the EF buddy's !
The morning of Hondafest, with the roof rack i had from my donor car acura 1.6EL, wich i also use for my winter daily EK
Naturally, Honda guys are together
Helping a friend who is building a custom 1982 toyota 4x4 flatbed
Enjoying the EF in many country road with the GF !!
Next projet : tearing down the L3 !!!!!
Peace
