So i went to work a little on the car, i had to start it because i wanted to roll the car on the
"jack ramp" to find an exhaust leak i had notice some day before.
i put the batterie back in and it started like a charm after 2 month. these engine are great.

So i made a short video while i was at it

When i found where was the exhaust leak, i droped the exhaust line and soon i will get this weld/repair. there is two small hole near the attachment bracket.

i have a couple off project right now :

i need to fix the valve cover ground who broke because of corrosion
i need to install back the upper timing belt cover
i need to create a new intake piping to get some fresher air.

That's what my exhaust look like....its worst than i tought.....well im cleaning this and my brother will be fixing it next week (solder)

Its probably caused by the drag lauches....clutch grip really good !...

There was a little bit of sun so i started to do some minor things...playing with intakes, did a new valve cover ground...

i know you are not in the states and shipping can get real dumb across borders but this is a great piece and quite cheap especially if you can find it locally. check the link.

so last week i sold a set of mags ( i found them ugly), sold these for 140$

with the money from the mag, i bought 4 michelin tires (100$)

They are going to be on my Rays GR-N 1992 (you can see actual tire are more than death)

need to get the michelin "rimed on"

this will be my setup for this summer once my ef is back on the street !!!

I also had a side project of installing the acura 1.6el front seat in my ek dailydriver.

I was tire of these unconfortable DX seat so i trow them off and it was a mess at the start:

Then after a good vaccum

I had to put my DX seat rail on the 1.6el SEAT because they were all rusted

Here is what it look like with the final clean up !!!

Home made flat bed civic

well i had to do something interessting while snow is melting..... !

So it still looking like this up here

I got bored and after seeing many cars with this and loving it, i decided to give it a try....

The stencil came out great, i decided to try it with an old can...even if it was a little windy outside

The plan would be to paint this stencil with white paint on the tires, im not sure im gonna do it...

Awesome build, man. Love the grey. If you hadn't said anything about it being a backyard paint job, I would have never known. Looks great!

Thanks man !!! appreciated.

The grey look good with snow , i took some pictures yesterday
I also did some custom front rally mudflaps (Cut the shapes i wanted in a 8$ walmart huge truck flat flaps.) very fun to do.

The engine bay is almost how i want it for 2014, still i have to paint the underside of the hood in flat black. (im waiting for hot temperature !!!)

Next project : tie rod and alignement (when tired will be rimed)

Snow is finally melting so i had time to start stripping down the acura 1.6el Donor.

Here's a little of good memory : the 1.6el back in 2009 when i traveled to vancouver (it was my good friend's property at this time)

Good bye !!!!

Those relays are easy to repair. If you open it, you will probly see a desoldered pin. Resolder it and there you have a brand new main relay . I might be wrong too but thats what usually happen.

So i had time to swap my headunit since i only had my stock 96 dx radio in my ef...
I put the 1.6el head unit, wich read burned CD's from my computer. I know its not Mp3 but it is a great upgrade for me !!!!

I dropped my Rays and Michelin to the tire shop, should have these next week, so i Installed the new front inner and outer tie rod So i could align the car properly...

I tought i would have this done in a professionnal garage but i found a DIY and could'nt resist to give it a try !!!

(Thanks to C speed racing : http://www.c-speedr.com/howto/alignment/alignment.php)

With the new tie rod installed, it took me like....30 minutes to do this, and it work !!!!!!
I couldnt belleived how the car is rolling straight on highway !!!

The car is ready to get his new shoes installed !

I also did a Sunvisor project for my girlfriend'S EK (i used fabric glue and a piece of fabric my girlfriend already had)

1 month after getting the car out and beating it, i finally came to the end of my 20$ d15b2. It started to Knock very hard, i was lucky enough to get it back home and it Seized up in my driveway....what a luck !!!
So i started my swap yesterday, here is what ive done in 5 hours

Get the D15b2 out of the EF

D16y8 was already out of the Acura, Almost ready to go in the EF

Needed to install my 8lbs flywheel and exedy clutch on the Y8

The new engine is now under the car, next is to install the transmission and get this back in its place. Ive notice i am gonna need to change the driver side Engine mount bracket (bolt are under the T-belt cover) cause the ef engine mount wont fit....

once the engine will be in place, it will be wiring time !!!! peace ht

A shot during the swap ...

The valve cover was so dirty....

I decided to give it a good clean up (degreasing)

Then i spray it with high heat black paint

A couple hours later....

These where my good friends to accomplish the obd2 conversion

This is to give you an idea of the two conversion harness i did
