90 Hatch: stupid seatbelts in door, driver side broken? how to fix?
I got to work this morning, unbuckled my seatbelt, got out and noticed the belt was still just hanging out on the ground and wasn't winding back up inside the door. i tugged on it a little bit and just ended up pulling more slack out. i can't get it to wind back up. ARGHH!!! Has anyone had this happen to them? What do I do to fix it? It's so pissing me off...
TIA for your help.

I've heard the spring in the door was a factory recall. It's probably shot, so you need a new one.

I ran into the same problem recently and I remove those seat belts. Got me some seat harnesses to go with my Sparco Torino's.

Honda seatbelts are warrantied for life. They should replace them for free as long as they havent been tampered with.

This is true, my friend worked for honda. The seatbelts are in fact warrantied for life. Honda does not metion this for obvious reasons, therefor no one knows about it.
