89 CRX Si B18C1 GSR Build! [UPDATE]
Hey guys,
So I'm kinda new to this whole forum posting. I recently bought an 89 CRX Si shell with an Si-R front end. I also had got a 94 B18C1 GSR from a tech at honda where I was working at for a while (not anymore ) lol. So I just started on this project and I'm hoping to get it running soon. Here are some pics of the car! Any help and advise on what to do or what else to put in would be nice. :bounce:
Modifications:
-Si-R Front End :D
-B18C1 GSR
-YS1 Short Geared Tranny
-ACT Stage 2 Clutch and Heavy Duty Pressure Plate
-OBD1 Chipped P28 ECU
-Innovative Motor Mounts :?
-Custom Shift Linkage with Energy Suspension Bushings
-Megan Racing Short Shifter
-2 1/4" Piping with high flow cat!
-That's it for right now, More to come for sure
When I first Got It!
Haven't put the bumper signals on yet!
So Loney
Wire tuck was underway!
With a homie's valve cover!
My new valve cover
ACT Stage 2 clutch is in
Just need the tranny put in!

for the owner of the crx
i actually cant really help u but i do have a question for you
did u notice the bottom front bracket that goes behind the radiator which originally holds a motor mount that holds the trasmition here s my question did u had to remove that because it seems that it might b a problem with the swap cuz am also doing something similar but am working on a b18b thanx

Yes you have to remove that front motor mount. I haven't got around to it yet, but it should be coming off by this saturday. You also have to dent in the frame by where the alternator is going to go to have some clearance.

I'm using a custom made harness.. It's a stock crx si one converted to obd1, didn't feel like going through all that hassle Lol

Hmm well I bought the motor off of one of the techs I used to work with at honda. I bought it for 800 with engine, tranny, shift linkage, and mounts. It had two bent valves but it was no biggie. In total I say I've spent about 2000 so far, not too bad Lol.
