89 crx dx b18b1 swap wiring
okay so I’m really reluctant to even post this because I know someone is going to get mad but I’m out of options here. I have an 89 crx dx. Still has the stock d15b dpfi. I just bought a 98 integra as a donor car. I’ve read up over and over on the wiring and I’m still confused. I know the engine is Obd2 and I’ve read that to take the engine to obd1 I just need to get an obd1 dizzy, alternator and injectors to be safe. I got the whole parts car for $475 and the ecu is bad which is fine because I would need an obd1 ecu anyway. What I don’t get is do I keep my harness and do an mpfi conversion and THEN get the jumper? Or do I buy an LS obd1 harness and feed it to the new obd1 ecu and not worry about mpfi conversion since the obd1 integra harness is already mpfi. I’m really hoping someone can explain this to me in a way I can understand. I’ve come a long way in rescuing my little crx! I just need some help with this part ❤️

Keep your harness do the mpfi conversion and get the obd1 jumper you can run the obd2 stuff just get the jumpers I did a b20 swap on mine I have an obd2 alternator, dizzy, and injectors and it runs great

^Agreed.
1 - Do MPFI conversion on the CRX
2 - Buy OBD2 > OBD0 distributor jumper harness. Keep your OBD2 distributor.
3 - Buy OBD2 > OBD0 alternator jumper harness. Keep your OBD2 alternator.
4 - Buy OBD1 ECU
5 - Buy OBD1 > OBD0 ECU jumper harness.
1 - Do MPFI conversion on the CRX
2 - Buy OBD2 > OBD0 distributor jumper harness. Keep your OBD2 distributor.
3 - Buy OBD2 > OBD0 alternator jumper harness. Keep your OBD2 alternator.
4 - Buy OBD1 ECU
5 - Buy OBD1 > OBD0 ECU jumper harness.

I have just finished this swap, if you can find an obd0 integra alternator, ecu and distributor you can just do the mpfi swap but instead of using the resistor box run those wires directly from the ecu to the injectors, then run the black/yellow wires from the injectors to 12+, i just ran mine straight to the battery, while it looks like **** it does work but i do plan on changing it in the future

For my injector airing I went to the junk yard and grabbed the injectors and cut some of the harness from a da and used that here’s a pic of what it looked like

so all the injectors have 1 colored wire then 1 wire that is black/ yellow, you run the colored wire to the ecu like the mpfi swap wiring tells you then, you run the other side to +12v, if your using the injectors that you got with the 98 you'll have no issues.
