You're right, that is pretty slow. See sig. All I have is I/E, and a stock ancient cat. Is your engine healthy, compression and leakdown tested? Maybe you have screwed up injectors? Which tranny are you running?

Biggest thing right here. If you suck at drag racing, it'll show. Try having a known good driver drive it and see what times he gets. Oh yeah, the Y1 isn't the greatest drag racing tranny either.

Re: (richierich)
i noticed you're from california...what track did you run your car at? i started out running 15.6's with my b16 crx before practice, and am now hitting 14.9's all day at PALMDALE (3000+ft above sealevel). i went to fontana, a better track (and lower elevation), and ran a best of 14.0...

Its gotta be one of three things. Either you cant drive, its a crappy track,
or your motor is beat. I have a 91 CRX si, which is heavier than your car.
I also have a 2nd gen B16a which i was running on a PW0 ecu.
I was running consistent 15.2s with 95-96mph trap speeds.
Those trap speeds are good for low 14s, but unfortuantly i couldnt get any
better than a 2.6 60ft, due to my bald POS kuhmos.
To give you an idea on my tires, they were spinning up to redline
at a measly 2.5k launch. ACK! Thats waht i get for going to the track with
bald tires though, lol.
Motor was bone stock 2nd gen B16a. This was on a HOT day too mind you.
I suggest you do a compression check on your motor. And get a tune up
before you go next time, an oil change and new set of plugs makes a big
difference sometimes. Good luck beating on your car.

Re: (richierich)
truthfully I don't think the track should be slowing u down close to 2 seconds. Sometimes you just need some good practice...running on the track and street really are 2 different ball games. What kinda 60 foot times were you laying down? That is really where the truth lies. Then again there could be something wrong with your tranny but like someone already said, u don't exactly have an ideal d/r tranny.

JOooooooooeyyyyyyyyyyy!
Yeah practice makes perfect - im sure everything that could be said already has been. Check to see if you got codes, make sure its throwing codes (unhook something safe and see if it finds it) maybe you got some wires cross or somethin. Who knows, play with it

And I don't see how you can be running that slow with a ZC either, no offense at all. I mean, shifting in to fourth at 6000 RPM with my old bonestock A6 I ran a 16.8.

Re: (richierich)
even the tie rod wouldn't cause that. what are you launching/shifting at? the 60ft was a 2.4? it seems to me that the motor is beat b/c I have a DOHC ZC w/ boltons & I can keep up w/ lightly modded RSX Type S. I haven't been to teh track yet, but even I am running low 15's, very high 14's. Sorry bro.

yea very dissapointed with this damn motor.....the whole point of swappin is to feel faster.......this **** is bascially barely faster than my stock d16a6 motor........probably need valve adjustment ........compression is still good......and i did the motor flush stuff..........someones got to know something........i need to take it to the dyno and see wassup ........but dyno runs cost to much money and i think its postless if i dont got any parts to tune the motor with.....

Re: (richierich)
Get the dyno done. It will cost less than a $100 and you'll know right away if there is something wrong with your engine. Stock, you should be getting about 130HP out of a 160HP (at the crank) engine.
