your going to have some problems as the mpfi engine came from the SI which had only manual tranny ecu's.
You maybe be able tosolve your problem by doing an OBD1 conversion as the newer d series engines came with mpfi and automatic setups.

Double check your wiring and make sure that you really have a PS9. There is no reason that ECU shouldn't be working. Did he also wire in a VTEC controller to activate VTEC? If so, check that wiring too.

That's not true. The PS9 is from the EX sedan which uses the same motor as the Si, but was offered with an auto tranny.

hey guys nah i got the ps9 and i have checked my wiring by four diffrent webpages that i have gotten off of here and i am jsut not finding anything wrong with it but i am not getting any spark and i am geting a code 20 well the motoris supposed to run with an si ecu (5-speed) but it will not move due to it being a automatic but it wont even run with that and i am getting the same code i did some searching on here last night and found a trouble shooting flowchart for the code 20 but i dont know much about reading a multi meter but i have one that i got from my g/fs dad. so if anyone can tell me how to set it up so i can troubleshoot the code 20 that would be great also

did you just say that your motor runs with the Si ECU and not with the PS9?

Are you sure the PS9 is ok? Can you check it in another car? (You can plug in into a manual car and it will run the engine, but will obviously throw a code for the lack of an auto tranny.)

Sorry, my bad, we don't have that here in Canada, i forgot about those EX models. Automatic ecu's and trannies, i've never seen one before.

check if you used the different pin numbering .

Some people numbr them across in their directions, and some - the other way.
I mean this:

1)
--------------------------
. . . . . . . . . . 7 5 3 1
. . . . . . . . . . 8 6 4 2
--------------------------
2)
--------------------------
. . . . . . . 4 .3 . 2 .1.
. . . . . . 14 13 12 11
--------------------------

Possibly whoever wrote the directions used one system, but you read it the other way.
