88-89 crx with 90-91 side moldings info/pics????
Hi I was wondering I hear you can install 90-91 side moldings on 88-89 crx I know the 90-91 are are thinner then 88-89. I'm thinking about changin front and rear of my 89 to 90-91 front and rear bumper and I'm having a hard time sourcing side moldings for 89 but I can find 90-91 moldings all day long...just wondering if anyone has experienced this or have pics of what the moldings look like on a 88-89 with 90-91 moldings. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!!!!

Ok was just unsure if the molding from both years are the same width up against the car not the thickness out from the car. I was hoping the actual metal wasn't formed different from one model to the next...thanks deetz!!!

You were able to source 89 moldings? Btw do you know when putting a 91 front if bumper support needs changing to be able to install the bumper lights because I notice bumper supports being sold for 88-89 and 90-91

Re: 88-89 crx with 90-91 side moldings info/pics????
I am looking to buy some 90-91 side protectors/moldings for cheap if anyone can help me out please PM.
Listen to Deetz, it fits both. I am converting from JDM broad type to JDM EF8. See pic of EF8 bumper i snagged.
Also found pic of my original molding with measurement. It's broader (47mm) and flatter v/s ef8's thinner and thicker.

Ok being that the 89 moldings are taller and thicker is the strip on the metal along the side of the car taller as well? I hear you say they fit which is fine I was just wondering if the actual metal where the moldings lay flat up against taller. I don't know if I'm explaining that right or not and excuse me if it sounds confusing. Like lets say the molding is 3 inches tall not thick but tall is the press in the metal 3 inches as well versus the 91 moldings being shorter is the press In that metal shorter? I just don't want it to be something I notice I guess
