87 crx si motor swap into an 1989 crx hf, Please help!
I own both the 87 crx si and the 89 crx hf. the 89 is my daily driver. I am wanting to swap the 97 si motor and tranny into the 89. I am running into a problem because the motor mount on the driver sides are different. Is there anything I can do? Is there a motor mount kit i can but to make it lign up? I would appreciate any help and info anyone can give me. Thanks!

just get a Z6 or A6 and throw it into your HF and do a OBD0 -OBD1 conversion. youll be happy for a while

Hey thanks! this is my first attempt into building anything so I apreciate your help. I've been researching my *** off and still have little to go on. That would be the reason I am here. The guy I got this car from just pieced it together for a quick sale. I am in the process of putting everything back to the 89 body parts it should have. I am definantely gona go with the a6, soon as I can find one.

A6 with a Z6 head, Y8 intake, LS TB and a header with exhaust will make probably 135 or so. oh and DOHC ZC pistons will help too lol

from what i've experianced so far... most junk yards will charge the same price for a motor regardless of weather or not it's a b18 or a d16... and integra's end up in the junk yard more often than si's do (atleast around here) it would be worth your while to pick up an engine and trans from an integra. i wish i would have. then, as long as the bearings are good, give it a quick hone and re ring it, get a new clutch and then buy some mounts and linkage and you're set for a nice motor.

the only thing i am confused on is what wiring harness to use with what ecu. i read and read and read but it just confuses me more. i have a Z6 vtec head from a 95 civic, actually 2. so if i get the z6 or a6 block thats where i get confused. do i use the harness and ecu outa the 95 civic, or do i just convert mine to obd1? or can i use the 88-91 si stuff? ugh, im sooooooo confused! hahaha!
