I have a 98 crv that I've been kinda lost on. Around a month back I started hearing a faint PING. It got much worse recently. Changed the plugs, Higher oct. fuel, made sure timing was 100% spot on, set the valves perfectly, and its still pinging. No codes whatsoever. Today i thought I'd double check my ignition timing. I jumped the connector and code 45 popped up, found out it was a too rich/lean code.
Wondering if this could be the problem I've been looking for and where to start with this? Anyone ever had this problem? I've searched everywhere for post about pinging and none of the solutions posted helped any.
