2004 element almost 200,000 miles.
regular maintenance schedule, no modifications at all.
occasionally decides to sputter out after being started, will only stay running if the gas pedal is held down slightly. when coming to stops the car must be put into neutral and gas held to keep her from stalling out. its only occured maybe 5 times or so.if it stays on its idle is at 500rpm and sounds a little weak.tested battery and was good checked connections, fuses, relays, anything and everything looked good. bit the bullet and went to the dealer only for the problem to disapear. the dealership said there was a problem with k series pcms needing to be updated due to an ignition related problem. i paid for an hour of labor. did i get hoodwhinked..ripped off??? has this occured to any fellow element or k series owners?? she seams to be ok so far, look forward to your responses.
dealer called it a pcm reflash fyi..

hoodwhinked..ripped off, well thats hard to say, but i do a lot of throttle body cleaning and than idle relearns on hondas ,which is pretty easy, just take the tube off the throttle and spray some carb cleaner on a clean rag ,hold the throttle wide open and clean where the plate is top and bottom ,never spray carb cleaner directly into the port as you can damage other components ,start the car and let it idle for ten minutes without touching the throttle and you should be good to go, sigma
