Re: Crank no start 00 honda crv
Well, good spark, fuel, timing, ... sounds like it should start??
The engine warms up to operating temp and the engine won't start?
That sounds like an electronic part failing when it heats up????
Sorry can't help. Still learning about Honda. Just got an 2007 CRV.
No AC and poor power steering.
Please keep updating if you find a fix .. thanks

Re: Crank no start 00 honda crv
When you say you replaced the distributor, do you mean just the cap or do you mean the whole unit including all internals (i.e. coil, ignition module, rotor, etc...)? Ignition modules are notorious for failing in this condition (runs fine until engine is warmed up, then vehicle stalls and won't start). If you replaced the entire distributor unit with a non-honda one you probably got a cheap Chinese ignition module and those really don't work so well.

Re: Crank no start 00 honda crv
I am have similar issues after my 01 CRV warms up, if it a quick drive it will usually start right up but if you drive for a bit or have multiple stops it won't start unless its been sitting for awhile. It will crank but not fire up, I have switched out the distributor and also the main relay so far.

Re: Crank no start 00 honda crv
i hate dead threads. im having a similiar issue but it wont start at all now.
replaced cap, rotor, ign coil, ign control module, wires, plugs, fuel filter, fuel pump, checked the timing belt
compression 180,150,180,180
pulled off the fuel rail with injectors attached and they all spray just fine.
all plugs fire but the spark seems weak/wrong color
someone please help

Re: Crank no start 00 honda crv
Anyone have any ideas? Mine still does it and now just sits in our driveway. Now I am also dealing with a parasitic draw from something and it is killing the battery.

Re: Crank no start 00 honda crv
I have a 2001 CRV, 239k miles, that will crank only if I put gas pedal all the way down to floor. It won't start otherwise. It will warm up for 3-4 minutes at 1500 RPMs and when it goes down below 900ish RPM it immediately stalls / dies. It will restart and run for maybe 1 minute and repeat. Has anyone noticed the throttle / gas pedal situation with theirs starting?
