Icon5 check engine - CR-V 2004

my cr-v has the check enine light on.... checking the faultcode said knock-sensor.... sensor was switched - but light still on - and reading still say knocksensor.... anyone who have a solution??

Honda knock sensor? Torqued to spec? They need need a very specific torque to preload the sensor correctly.

If yes to both of those, this platform is known for corroding that shielded knock sensor wire to the PCM. Will need to replace that wire. There are a number of how tos out there.

did you disconnect the battery when you replace the sensor ?

no... i did not disconeckt battery.... just took off the conecktor on the old sensor - replaced sensor with new on - conneckted cable - and started car...... "check engine" still on,and the obd-reader still say knocksensor.... Is it possible then that i disconeckt on the knock-sensor,deconeckt battery,conneckt sensor and then put back battery -- something wil "resett"??

Use the scan tool to clear the code. Disconnecting the battery won't clear codes on newer stuff.
