Default 2002 Honda CRV w/ 2006 Si rims

Well I am having issues clearing my front brake calipers when I put on my 2006 SI rims and I have been reading up on wheel spacers. some people say I need hub centric and some people don't say I need it. I also want to say I drive my crv hard and take it off road a lot. I live on a 600 acre ranch.

First questions is do I need to change out my studs to be extended when I put wheel spacers on?

Second question is which wheel spacers should I go with?

Also has anyone ran si rims on there second gen crv?

UpDate 6/03/2011

I order

APR Stud Extenders 12mm 1.5 RH
Muteki Lug Nuts Open end 12mm 1.5 RH
KYO 8mm spacers

I will post up pictures when I get everything on.

I used 4mm spacers without any extended lugs but i think you can grind the caliper down if you really wanted to.

What size tires are you using?

I was thinking going with 225/65/R17

Kinda OT, but what brush guard is that? Looks good and I've been looking for one for my 03...

Sorry for responding to a super old thread, but did you have any issues down the road using the 4mm spacers? I got an 02 CRV LX and want to replace the steelies with the 06-08 Si wheels but some people say you need spacers while others say you don't. Should I err on the side of caution and get them?

If you get spacers would suggest getting longer APR studs put in. or the cheaper way is getting 15mm or 20mm H&R studded spacer. I went the expensive route and regret the cost only. Either way Si wheels look great on the CRV. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply! I'm trying to spend the least amount of money possible since the car has over 170k miles and some other issues I'll have to fix, so do you think I'll have problems down the road just using 4mm spacers and the stock studs like thaipham806?

I would not recommend using spacer on stock studs. Not enough threads to run safely with out snapping the lug off the stud and wheels come flying off the car. Suggest cheapest way is get 15mm studded spacer h&r.

Ok makes sense, I definitely don't want that to happen. Do you know if the stock studs need to be cut down to fit those? Sorry that's my last question : )

Honesty I don't remember. But if you look at back of the Si rims check if it has dimples where the stud can go into the rim a little. If you are super worried that it still won't fit. Just go with the 20mm and if will for sure be enough.
