i have a 2001 crv and my ac compressor is starting to go bad on me. my question is if i replace my compressor will another b series compressor from either a si, ls, gsr or type r work for my crv?

 

CR-Vs use a D-series compressor.

 

Far as I know none of the B or D series comps will work. The 97-98 CRV compressors are different from the 99-01 CRV compressors and have to get one specifically for the CRV.

I'm thinking so too. It looks identical to the compressor on my Civic. I looked when I B-swapped my Civic and wanted to retain A/C.

I can verify that the CRV bracket bolts 100% line up with a D-series compressor. I know this because I'm running a D-series compressor on a CRV bracket in my Civic. The hoses are clocked the same direction as a D-series compressor, but I can't verify that they're the exact same connectors.

If the hoses connect up, then it'll work.

 

My parts catalog is showing that a Sanden TRS090 4993 compressor fits both '97-01 CR-V and '94-00 Civic D-series. I have personally installed this compressor model on both a '99 CR-V EX and a '99 Civic LX.
