Bense knows exactly what he's talking about. The D16Z6, JDM D15B VTEC, and D16Y8 transmissions are comparably of the best/shortest stock transmissions for the D series.

Z6 trans and y8 trans , as far as i know, are identical in ratios (or close at least)
Only difference im aware of is that one has an aluminum shift fork, whereas the other has a steel one or something of that sort.
