Default z6/p29 questions

First off when I started this build I planned to go all out but life happens and I ended up needing a car now so...... I have a z6 with p29's and a little spark knock. Other than the pistons and clutch/flywheel everything is stock (new but stock). The previous owner did have the head shaved to repair a warp but i don't know how much was removed, so I don't know if I need to move the timing a tooth to make up for the difference. I've been told I'm suffering from a lean issue and that swapping the injectors, rail, and fpr (jacking up the pressure to at least 65psi) should solve this. But I've also been told it's normal for this set up and that I have to learn to live with it. I think learning to live with it is asking for problems. And I don't want to upgrade the fuel system if it's not going to do anything but **** money away and be pretty to look at. Does anyone have a similar build that can point me in the right direction? And yes I have searched and searched and searched some more for the answers to these questions but I'm not finding and real answers. So if anyone can help please do. I really need to be driving this car by yesterday.

Did you get it chipped and tuned yet?

I actually don't know of any decent tuners in sc. And I don't have the ability to go to atlanta where I actually know someone. I am asking around for one though. As for being chipped it has been socketed and it currently has an ebay special installed.

Get it tuned before it blows up. Stock ECU can't compensate for 12:1 compression. And ebay chip is tuned for god knows what.
