Default z6 distributor on d16y7

Ok a friend of mine just bought a d16y7, and the d16y7 dizzy is obd2 and his hatch is a 92-95 so its obd1... I was wondering if i can you a z6 dizzy on the y7 i know the bolt pattern isnt the same but i can modify it to fit.

nope...z6 is the bastard distributor child...every other dizzy from 88-00 will fit (with the exception of the z1 and jdm d15b as well)

i'm not kidding either

Could i drill out the holes on the dizzy and line it up to fit on just one hole? i modified a d16a6 dizzy one time to go in my crx with d16z6

will a z6 dizzy fit a jdm d15b vtec? Someone told me my stock D15B2 dizzy can be modified to work......is that true. Any help is appreciated.

alright, well whats the better of the 2? I'd like to do it right the first time, so if its a pain to modify my stock one then i'd rather just pic up one off a z6. Thanks for the help!

you can change the dizzy internals to make it OBD2 or OBD1

If it's a d16z6 vtec (92-95), if it's a 96-00 then no not without modification.

Look for a D16Z6 dizzy (92-95 civic EX, Si)...its the same thing
