I was working on putting in my new gas tank today. Well I managed to snap one of the bolts for the tank straps. They have a curve to them and mount in a slot in the frame. I tried every hardware store and auto parts store in my area. Nothing. The autoparts stores don't even carry the tank straps. The nearest Honda dealer is about an hour away. So I'm just gonna go up to the fab/welder guy up the road from me tommorrow and see if he can cut it off at the curve and weld on a new bolt. Has this happened to anybody on here , what did you do , and does this look like my best option?
